Mission "Support the Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Agency in completing the state management guidance on the management of World Biosphere Reserves in Vietnam"
The recent development of the world biosphere reserves has shown that they are not only intended to preserve biodiversity and indigenous culture, but also as a place where people live in harmony with nature. Moreover, it is also a place for sustainable use of natural resources towards sustainable development in the context of climate change and disease adaptation.
General information
ECODE participates in the research and development of a state-level project on guidelines for the management of the World Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO in Vietnam. Within the framework of the topic, the center conducts practical assessments, policies, and management practices of World Biosphere Reserves in Vietnam when the global climate is changing. Therefore, ECODE will develop a regulatory framework for management and design a specific management model in the localities. At the same time, the center also organizes capacity-building training in management and sustainable livelihood development towards green growth there.
