Following the activities within the framework of the mission "Building an online lecture series on community-based disaster risk assessment tools" (CBDRA E-learning), on November 11th, 2022 in Hanoi, Center for Eco-community Development (ECODE) held the first consultation meeting for a set of 10 online training modules on the use of data collection tools for risk assessment.
After nearly 3 months of implementation, the expert team of ECODE and VTVLive have coordinated to complete the development of professional scripts and begin to produce modules. Digital training in SCORM-encapsulated video format. The meeting obtained many significant results with the frank and open exchange and comments of representatives of relevant units of Vietnam Disaster Management Authority, UNDP and experts on Community-Based Disaster Risk Management. Following this consultation, technical scripts and video designs will continue to improve. The ECODE – VTVlive team of experts has and will carry out additional recording tours, interviews at training classes, and community-based disaster risk assessment to have more realistic illustrative materials. It is expected that the online lecture series will be completed in 2022 and will be widely disseminated on the website of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the GCF-UNDP project to contribute to the expansion of community-based disaster risk assessment as the spirit
of the project "Raising public awareness and managing disaster risk based on the community" period 2021-2030 according to Decision No.
It is known that by early November 2022, the project "Strengthening resilience to the impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities in coastal areas of Vietnam" (GCF-UNDP) has completed training courses, community-based disaster risk assessment for 541 communes of 28 coastal provinces inside and outside the project.
